Rebekah Ueshiba

As I follow you,
A melody awakens in me
A fresh, new ring
But as old as I've ever known.

Your truth echoes
In my own
They resonate
Like as the same

But I will not claim that
Say only that it seems
Truth feels
As Truth sounds

I will not say it is the only
Or say right and wrong,
Nor lead others to follow us:
Evil and Death lie that way

You write your own truth, I say
So we have, and see our truths in each other
And smile of companionship
Then stoop together, pensive

A new idea confronts us together
Our kinship confronts us
Because it hints
Hints that some deep, unknown current
Has carried us together

Wandering in a broad, plane wilderness,
I suddenly find myself on a rare path,
All this time I wandered alone
Making my own way
By accident, have I found this scarce path?
Or was I brought.....?
By an unfelt, subtle slope
Of the very land I have pioneered?

I call my truth ろうにん
How can it meet with another pilgrim?

I'm starting this

And basically the only reason,

Is that I like to write
And I don't think it's art, really
But I want to put it down, somewhere

Some of us have this
Compulsive
Recording habit

Have to write about this,
Have to take a picture of that,
Have to tell so-and-so all about it
And communication is
Only half of it.

The irony I've found:
The only place I ever really write
Or live
Is between the lines.
